Enlighten Procedure:
The Enlighten Tooth Whitening procedure is very simple and is completed after just three visits:
Visit 1
In your first visit, we will take impressions of your teeth using a special accurate impression material provided by Enlighten. These impressions will then be sent to Enlighten’s own state-of-the-art laboratory, where the expert technicians will fabricate a high quality sealed bleaching tray that is bespoke to you. This will take about 2 weeks to be ready.
During this time, you will need to use special “tooth serum” toothpaste twice a day, every day, which contains an ingredient called Hydroxyapatite (HAP). This is the same material that the enamel of your teeth is made of – 97% of it, to be precise! This HAP will not only improve the whitening effect, but will also help protect your teeth and reduce sensitivity.
Visit 2
On your next visit you will pick up your bleaching tray from us, along with your Enlighten whitening gel. You will need to use this in your bleaching tray for 14 CONSECUTIVE NIGHTS.
Visit 3
Lastly, you will return to The Dental Practice for your final power whitening treatment. This takes 70 minutes in the surgery and will help boost the colour whilst ensuring the whitening is even and natural-looking. It will also help ‘seal’ the whitening – making it last longer!
